Hashimoto-san

This is fan art of one of my favorite old cartoons entitiled "House of Hashimoto". It first aired in 1959 by the Terrytoons company. The creator of this cartoon was named Bob Kuwahara who was born in Japan. This was probably the very first cartoons in America to portray Asians in a positive manor-- not that the cartoon wasn't entirely free of stereotypes.

Hashimoto is a Japanese house mouse with his wife, Hanako, and his 2 children. In all his cartoons there was a moral at the end.

I really liked this cartoon. I only know about it due to my mom buying me a tape of 6 cartoons he stared in when I was little. Now that I'm into Japanese culture and re-watched it again, they actually use Japanese language in the cartoons.
